A Day to Honor Our Veterans
Our next get-together will be on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11th at the Todd Legion Post on 92nd and Beloit. Join us for an afternoon to honor our veterans. After the Pledge of Allegiance, the Greater Milwaukee Fire & Police Pipes & Drums will present a patriotic medley tribute to all of our Armed Service Departments. Our short business meeting will be followed by member and retired Sgt. Ed Kunicki who will share a video presentation describing his duties and experiences during a year-long mission in Afghanistan as a civilian law enforcement professional with the U.S. Army during Operation Enduring Freedom. The doors will open at 10:30AM if you want to join the sheepshead players and the meeting begins at 1PM. After Ed K’s presentation, Chris Dewey of Celtic Cooks Catering will be serving up a baked potato bar with all the fixings around 2:30PM. Your side dishes and desserts are greatly appreciated! We will also be giving away 10-$25 Turkey Gift Cards from Pick & Save as well as $25 cash to one member for just showing up. This will be our last meeting for 2026. We don’t meet in December or January. We will return to the Todd Post on Wednesday, February 10, 2027.
