Gary is the current president of the Milwaukee Philatelic Society<\/strong> which has about 80 members and holds its monthly meetings at the Wauwatosa Library. If you are a stamp collector or you used to be and still have an interest in it you are invited to join or encourage any of your stamp-hoarding friends to join. Dues are only $10 for the first two years. If interested, visit the Society\u2019s website at milwaukeephilatelic.org<\/a><\/strong> and leave a message for Gary and he\u2019ll get back to you. If you are not interested in joining but have an old collection stored somewhere and don\u2019t know what to do with it, contact Gary and he can give you some advice or will gladly accept it as a donation for the Society\u2019s Youth or Outreach program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I am a long time member of the International Police Association and have made many friends throughout the world. I know that several of our members (Emerald Society, MRPA, and the Pipe Band) are also members. I believe this to be a great way to make contact and network not only here in the US but across the world. Click on the link below to get more information about the International Police Association. <\/p>\n\n\n\n LINK TO MORE INFO ON INTERNATIONAL POLICE ASSOCIATION<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n This organization incorporated in 1960, is comprised of over 2,000 members of retired workers including any retiree who worked in any capacity for the City of Milwaukee and receiving a pension from the Milwaukee Empolye’s Retirement System. It is a 501(c)(5) non profit corporation run by a an all volunteer Board Of Directors. It\u2019s principal goals now are to work with the City in order to improve and safeguard our health and pension benefits. The MRA has even set up a pension defense fund, now at over $180,000. in case our pension, our \u201clifeblood\u201d, is threatened in anyway. This has been occurring in numerous cities all over the country, with retiree\u2019s health benefits and pensions being cut due to poor city fiscal management. The MRA provides access to excellent group health & dental insurance programs and numerous business discount opportunities. The MRA holds membership\/luncheon meetings twice a year, once in the Fall and once in the Spring. It is in all of our best interest to join this organization as there is strength in numbers.
