FOR THE HEALTH OF IT: OUR ANNUAL HEALTH INSURANCE FORUM By President Wray Young
Hard to believe it’s October already and for us that means we’re having our annual Health Insurance Forum at out next get-together at the Todd Legion Post on 92nd and Beloit on Wednesday, October 14th. We’ve held this for several years and while some may think it’s the same-old-same-old, there’s always something new you might learn and this meeting is usually well-attended. As always the doors will open at 10:30AM for the card players and our forum will begin after our short business meeting which starts at 1PM.
Scheduled to appear is Molly King, director of Employee Benefits for the City, who will talk about the United Health Care Medicare Advantage Plan which was announced in 2025 and began this year. Following will be Kerry Leist of NBCI-National Benefit Consultants Inc.-who will discuss the Milwaukee Retiree Association’s Aetna Medicare Advantage Plan. These two ladies are highly skilled specialists in the health care field and will answer all of your questions whether it’s regarding a change in your life, such as marriage, divorce, or if you and/or your spouse are turning 65 and maybe you’ve moved out of state or are thinking about it. Every time you make a significant change in your life, your health insurance needs may change, too, so that’s why we’ve had this forum for now 18 years.
We’ll be eating lunch around 2:30PM with Chris Dewey of Celtic Cooks Catering serving up chili with all the fixings and we welcome and appreciate your side dishes and desserts.
